I’ve never advanced an idea by staring at a blank page. The page just reflects my own uncertainty back at me.
What actually moves an idea is saying a half-formed version of it out loud to something that can hold it, push on it, and hand it back a little sharper. That’s how I’ve always thought. I just usually needed the right person in the room for it.
The part that’s new is I can do that any time now, not only when the right person happens to be around. It’s less that the machine writes for me and more that it gives me something to think against.
