People keep asking why I started another small thing, and the honest answer has almost nothing to do with the market. I just really miss creating. I wound down my last project a couple years ago and have felt a loss of identity ever since.
I think I was made to create, and when I’m not, something is off. An entrepreneur without a project isn’t really an entrepreneur. So this isn’t about the idea being perfect or the money making sense. It’s about being myself again. I make, therefore I am.
I half wish I could be content working for someone else. It would be easier, more time, more money. But I can’t shake it. The need to make the thing is the real driver, and naming that honestly matters more than any plan I could write around it.
When you build, is it for the outcome, or to feel like yourself again?
