I think in the next four or five months we see a real separation open up. The product and engineering teams that actually embrace building development-agent teams, writing the processes for those agents to draft, review, and ship, are going to meaningfully outpace the ones who don’t. You already see it where the best AI labs use their own models to build their next models.
The honest version of my own role in this: I’m a strong product mind. I can take something from zero to a high-fidelity prototype fast, and I can talk to technical people about structure and flows. My gap is the hardening and productionizing. So the question I keep circling is whether you can build a team of agents to cover the whole arc, product and UX thinkers, developers, integration, hardening, instead of one generalist.
