I do not think I want to write essays.
At least not as the default.
Essays can feel too finished. Too evergreen. Too declarative.
That is not really the posture I want.
I am more interested in public thinking.
Field notes feel closer to the truth:
- provisional;
- timestamped;
- connected;
- curious;
- incomplete in a useful way;
- meant to invite conversation.
The goal is not to become a content creator.
The goal is to become more legible to the people who are already thinking near these ideas.
That means the writing should not sound like a resource library or a final doctrine.
It should sound like someone noticing something and offering it to the conversation.
That is also why the site matters.
A single post can be misunderstood. A field note inside a longer public notebook can be held by the rest of the context around it.
The note is small.
The graph is rich.
That feels like the right balance.
Quiet surface. Structured depth. Curious in public.
