I want context to travel, but I do not want everything to travel.
That distinction feels important. A work brain needs enough history to be helpful, but not so much raw personal context that the boundary collapses. Strategy, voice, decisions, projects, open questions, and working assumptions can move. Private life does not need to come with it.
So the membrane is not a compliance layer I bolt on later. It is part of the product. The question is not only, “how do we preserve context?” It is also, “what context belongs here?”
