When I’m mid-workout with sweaty hands, I don’t want history charts and metrics cluttering the screen. We’re prescribing a weight and some reps, anything outside of that is noise. The two things I actually reach for are the plate calculator and the rest timer.
It’s easy to load an interface with everything that could be useful. But the real test is the actual moment of use: phone propped on the rack, no patience, no precision. Design for that, and most of what you were tempted to add quietly disappears.
What would your interface look like if you only kept what someone needs in the hardest moment to use it?
