I need a reset. I got way too caught up in the look of the thing, the styling, the polish, the design direction, and lost the plot on what I’m actually trying to do. The front end got jumbled and haphazard because I kept reaching for pretty before it was useful.
The right play is to get back to basics. Make the core functionality work on something I can actually use. Test the principles of the product first. Once that’s dialed, then do the full premium redesign. Design is real, but it can’t be the thing that stops the function from ever shipping.
When you catch yourself polishing, is the underlying thing actually working yet, or are you decorating an idea you haven’t proven?
