Field notes should make curiosity easier to follow.
That is different from organizing everything into one argument.
Curiosity often moves sideways.
One phrase leads to another question.
One old note changes the meaning of a current one.
One related idea becomes the actual doorway.
The note should help that happen.
Not by overwhelming the reader with structure.
By giving just enough trail to keep moving.
The public graph should reward the person who wants to wander well.
