A field note should make context portable without making it complete.
That is the tension.
Too little context and the thought gets misunderstood.
Too much context and the note stops being a note.
The goal is enough.
Enough trail.
Enough question.
Enough route.
Enough humility.
The note should be able to travel.
It should not pretend to carry the whole archive with it.
