I do not want the public layer to sound more certain than the thinking actually is.
That is a subtle trap.
The internet rewards confident declarations.
But a lot of the most useful thinking is not finished.
It is forming.
It is testing language.
It is noticing a pattern and trying to see if the pattern holds.
That is why field notes feel more honest than essays for some ideas.
A field note can say:
here is what I am noticing.
It does not need to pretend the idea has reached its final form.
The goal is not to publish a perfect take.
The goal is to make enough of the thought visible that someone else can enter the conversation.
That is the posture I want.
Not performative certainty.
Not vague inspiration.
Not a content machine.
A public trail of useful curiosities.
Thoughts that are clear enough to share, but still alive enough to discuss.
That feels closer to how I actually work.
Conversation first.
