The current lens is a living index.

The archive shows what I have thought.

The current lens shows what still feels active.

Those are different jobs.

A public notebook can hold old notes, old language, old drafts, and old attempts.

That history matters.

But a reader also needs a way to understand what I would stand behind today.

Or at least what I am still actively testing.

That is what the current lens does.

It does not erase the archive.

It interprets it.

It says:

This still matters.

This changed shape.

This is parked.

This is unresolved.

This is where the live questions are.

Without that layer, a thinking archive becomes a pile.

With it, the archive can stay alive.
