A field note should be small enough to quote.
That does not mean shallow.
It means portable.
Someone should be able to take the center of the thought and bring it into another conversation.
That is different from making every note complete.
Completeness can live in the graph.
The note needs the sharp little center.
The line someone remembers.
The question someone repeats.
The phrase that opens the next conversation.
That is enough work for one note.
