The archive should keep freshness separate from importance.
The newest note is not always the most useful note.
The oldest note is not always background.
The strongest note may be old language that finally earned its shape.
The newest note may only be a doorway.
That means the archive needs more than reverse chronology.
Freshness should be visible.
Importance should be earned.
Current relevance should be named.
Otherwise the site starts pretending that whatever happened last is what matters most.
